TOOL FOR DINING

This private table commission was conceived as a Swiss Army knife for the social act of dining. Embedded in the table are many of the tools useful for the delivery of a meal. In one leg, a participant can find a ‘six pack’ of strike anywhere matches to light the candles in the accompanying candle holders. At the hosts’ ends of the table are drop down compartments containing bronze trivets and coasters. In an opposite table leg is a candle snuffer to extinguish the candles and end the meal.
